Carola’s editorial services span the complete spectrum of journalistic activities – from conducting research to the authoring and editing of texts for different media, in both German and English.

As a state-certified and sworn translator, Carola is authorized to provide certified translations. Additionally, the German native speaker is a specialist in the areas of business, law and the humanities. She is a member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (www.bdue.de)

Having worked for many years as an editor at the F.A.Z.-Institut in Frankfurt, Carola now holds the position of managing director, editor and translator at CS Wort und Schrift UG in Munich. Her work combines high-quality journalism with classic translating skills.

The English language has accompanied Carola throughout her academic studies and career to date. She focused on the Anglo-American cultural region during her International Cultural and Business Studies (Diplom) in Passau, Germany, and earned an M.Sc. in European Politics and Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

As an editor at the F.A.Z.-Institut in the English-language publications division, she was part of the editorial team for the former English-language edition of the FAZ, the FAZ Weekly, an International Herald Tribune supplement. For the FAZ Weekly, Carola regularly wrote for the politics, business, culture and society sections. She also translated articles from the German-language FAZ for the English edition, which required adaptations and rewriting to fit an Anglo-American newspaper style and an English-speaking readership. 

Carola was also part of the editorial team for the newsletter German Brief, which kept English-speaking readers up-to-date with business events in Germany. Her projects have comprised numerous corporate publication projects as well as editing an employee magazine of a large Munich financial services company.
